4/24/25 - Our paper titled "PIDQA—Question Answering on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams" has been published in MDPI Journal of Machine Learning and Knowledge Extraction.
3/13/25 - Our paper titled "City-Scale Bike Lane Facility Management through LiDAR, Weakly Supervised Learning, and Dimensionality Reduction" has been published in ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering. Special thanks to the Zimin Institute for Smart and Sustainable Cities at ASU for funding this research project.
8/19/24 - Our proposal "CUE-T: Hidden Curricula-Addressing Unseen Challenges within Computer Science Education" has been funded ($500K) by the National Science Foundation (NSF). This collaborative $2 Million project includes the Del E. Webb School of Construction at ASU, the School of Computing Instruction at GT, and Department of Computer and Information Technology at Purdue.
8/12/24 - Our paper titled "Enhancing safety training engagement through immersive storytelling: A case study in the residential construction" has been published in Elsevier Journal of Safety Science. Special thanks to CPWR for funding this research project.
7/28/24 - The CWT Lab attends the ASCE i3CE in Pittsburg, PA. Mohit Gupta presented our works title "Bike Lane Width Estimation on LiDAR Point Cloud Using Dimensionality Reduction and Weakly Supervised Learning" & our UF collaborators presented the paper "Studying Students’ Collaborative Problem-Solving Behaviors in Online Construction Site Visits". Special thanks to Dr. Yuan Sun and Dr. Masoud Gheisari at HCTC Lab in UF for collaborating with us in this project.
7/1/24 - Our proposal "iVisit: Situated Learning Experiences through Web-based Virtual Field Trips" has been funded (~$1 Million) by the National Science Foundation (NSF). This collaborative $2 Million project includes the Del E. Webb School of Construction at ASU, the Rinker School of Construction Management at UF, the Department of Psychology at UF, and School of Information Science & Learning Technologies at Mizzou.
4/2/24 - The CWT Lab attends the 60th ASC in Auburn, AL. We published a paper in collaboration with the CASE Lab at Texas A&M lead by Dr. Gilles Albeiano titled "Integrating a Drone-mediated Photogrammetry and Scan-to-BIM Module into an Undergraduate Construction Course"
3/21/24 - The CWT Lab in collaboration with HiMER Lab at ASU have published our paper in the IEEE VR and 3D User Interfaces Conference titled "Ladder Safety Assessment Using Head-Mounted 360-Degree Camera-Based Posture Estimation Overlayed Real-Time in Augmented Reality". Thank you PhD Student Hari Iyer and Dr. Heejin Jeong leading this effort!
